About TaraLok

TaraLok makes astrology easy to understand. You get your real birth chart, worked out from the exact minute and town you were born in, and every term is explained in plain words.

The name

Tara means star and lok means world, so TaraLok is the world of stars. Our AI guide, Dhruv, is named after Dhruv tara, the pole star that travellers have always found their way by.

What we believe

• Astrology should help you think clearly, never scare you.
• No fear-based remedies, and no pushing of pujas or gemstones.
• Charts should be calculated carefully and honestly, with their limits explained.

How charts are calculated

Planet positions come from published astronomy models. Vedic positions use the Lahiri ayanamsa, life periods use the Vimshottari dasha system, and Rahu uses the mean node. We test our results against standard astrology software, and we handle older Indian times such as Bombay Time and Calcutta Time.

Who we are

TaraLok is made by Orrizon Ventures, based in India.
